I had a huge headache decoding the master SHN to WAV. I tried both MKW & Shorten several times, it was 2am so I gave up. The next morning I threw it back
into MKW and it decoded for some reason, I did nothing different. I think it was a Mac vs. PC issue but oh well it got decoded. I don't really care for SHN, so after
I had the master WAV downsampled and tracked I FLACed the file set.
I had been told by three different people that were at the show that the opening band came on and played a huge set and then came back with some member changes
to play and even longer set. By now it's late as hell as the Clann Zu fans are getting restless, this pisses the opening band off so they keep playing. Finally when it seems
that they are wrapping up their set members of CZ approach the stage to set up when the singer tells them they'll be gone after they play a closer. I don't even think
CZ got to take the stage until 1am but this is all second hand information so maybe one of the people that were there will post in this thread with a better version of what
went on. The bottom line is the opening band was very inconsiderate and rude but thankfully Chaz stuck out the circus to get a nice DAT tape...speaking of thanking
him, I've already done it a hundred times being that he had never heard of CZ before I had asked him to tape and I think he ended up enjoying it so that's cool.
Any ways one last huge thank you to Chaz for all of his time and effort in getting this DAT for us to listen to.
If you were able to capture audio or video from this tour or know anyone who did please contact me at the yahoo addy above, thanks.
Not familar with FLAC? Get the Free Lossless Audio Codec here:
http://flac.sourceforge.net/ - it will allow you to play the flac files in winamp as well as decode them back to wav to burn to cdr.
